Maintenance of Rail Infrastructure

Through Veolia Transportation Maintenance and Infrastructure (VTMI), we’re taking it on ourselves in North America, providing an expertise that naturally complements our current core rail services.

VTMI was established in 2008, becoming the newest member of the Veolia family of services. VTMI offers services to our existing rail clients, and we provide stand-alone services to other railroads and transportation organizations.

Through VTMI, Veolia brings clients the benefits and value of a fully integrated “one stop shop” for rail expertise. We cover everything from routine infrastructure maintenance work to unplanned repairs. We offer maintenance analysis, planning and reporting. We work to preserve asset value for our clients, and schedule maintenance work so as to protect the operation of the business. Our technical development programs are led by highly qualified engineers who are often assisted by international teams that are drawn from across Veolia worldwide.

As Veolia Transportation moves forward with this new division, we are winning new maintenance contracts in California and Texas. These contracts are being supplemented by successful work orders for capital work for changing and upgrading track and sidings. We are constantly adding the equipment, human capital and support functions to this division so that we will be able to sustain our already high standards and provide our clients with a true “one stop shop” for rail expertise.
