Freight Operations

Freight is a key growth area for Veolia Transport, and a logical addition to our present portfolio of rail services and expertise.

Veolia Cargo was established in 2006 to spearhead our entrance into this new and growing market. We provide a full range of freight logistical services, including:

• Main line service providing equipment and engineers to move cargo from point to point and managing timeslots and safety
• Spur line or on-site traction service
• Associated services such as leasing of rail cars

Veolia Cargo in Europe employs 1,000 people and moved 37 million metric tons in 2007.
